Easy Blackberry Crumble Recipe

Sweet, simple, and ready in under an hour!

Ingredients:

For the filling:

• 4 cups fresh blackberries

• 1/2 cup sugar (adjust to taste)

• 1 tbsp lemon juice

• 1 tbsp cornstarch (helps thicken the filling)

For the crumble topping:

• 3/4 cup rolled oats

• 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

• 1/2 cup brown sugar

• 1/2 tsp cinnamon

• 1/4 tsp salt

• 1/2 cup (1 stick) cold butter, cut into small cubes

Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

2. Make the filling: In a medium bowl, gently toss the blackberries with sugar, lemon juice, and cornstarch. Pour into a lightly greased 8x8-inch baking dish.

3. Make the crumble topping: In another bowl, mix the oats, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Add the cold butter and use your fingers (or a pastry cutter) to mix until it looks crumbly and the butter is pea-sized.

4. Assemble: Sprinkle the crumble topping evenly over the blackberry filling.

5. Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbling around the edges.

6. Cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream!

Tip: You can swap in other berries or mix them with the blackberries if you’ve got extras on hand.
